You will want to use the Demco # DM6333, which has been confirmed to fit in the 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed with the OEM prep package. The Demco # DM6194 has been confirmed for use on Chevy/GMC short bed trucks with the prep package, but it is not compatible with the puck system in the 2021 short beds. That's a really good question, and like you said, the longer length of the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1716 LC158777 is only going to matter somewhat with a short bed truck (and even in that case, it wouldn't matter enough to where someone with a short bed truck could get away with using a fixed 5th wheel hitch as opposed to a sliding hitch).
